Dr. Beverly A. Stubblefield is published with Xlibris Publishing and the books are available for purchase at the following stores:  Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Xlibris Publishing.  Dr. Stubblefield has written three books based on experiences from The Equestrian Therapy Center of Slidell, Louisiana, where she practiced equine assisted psychotherapy over ten years.  BEDTIME STORIES FROM THE BARN, and MORE BEDTIME STORIES FROM THE BARN are designed for parents to read to their children, ages six to twelve, to help build parent-child relationships, to teach coping strategies, and to promote "sweet" dreams.  Each story is designed to provide insights into emotional and spiritual safety and security through Biblical references and psychological principles that are expressed by the horses in the stories.  When the horses at The Equestrian Therapy Center have settled in their stalls for the night, they talk with each other about their day, the people they've helped, the challenges they've confronted, and the fun they've had, so each story is told from the horse's perspective, which is often comical.

The PARENTAL GUIDE TO THE BEDTIME STORIES FROM THE BARN is a companion book to the BEDTIME STORIES FROM THE BARN.  It expounds on psychological principles and techniques mentioned in the BEDTIME STORIES that help parents and children deal with today's issues, such as Anger Management, Bullying, Divorce, Grief, and Anxiety, which are often avoided in traditional psychotherapy.  Specific scripture verses and bedtime stories for each topic are identified in the PARENTAL GUIDE.  A glossary of "horse" words is provided to better understand the horses' world depicted in THE BEDTIME STORIES.  The PARENTAL GUIDE is also a helpful resource family therapists can recommend to their clients to facilitate the therapeutic process at home.

Dr. Stubblefield earned her Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Mississippi in 1984 and in 2019 she received a Diploma in Biblical Studies from the Ministry Training Institute of Samford University.  It's not often that Psychology and the Bible are united, but such is the case in BEDTIME STORIES FROM THE BARN, MORE BEDTIME STORIES FROM THE BARN, and the PARENTAL GUIDE TO BEDTIME STORIES FROM THE BARN.
